Is Forest Pro Pack fully capaple with Thinkbox Deadline 5.2 ?
« on: August 26, 2015, 10:19:12 AM »
I tried to render the scene with about 11 forest objects with Thinkbox Deadline. But I found there were some forest missing in my final render sequence. But I can render all forest locally in my main workstation. Is Forest Pro Pack fully capaple with Thinkbox Deadline 5.2 ? It used to be rendered normally with Backburner. :o

Hi,

Actually we don't have any Thinkbox Software's Deadline license, but we've just contacted with them regarding it. We'll keep you posted. Thanks for your comprehension.

Kind regards,

But when will you get your  Thinkbox Software's Deadline license ? We are going to use Deadline instead of backburner. But the Forest pro pack is most important plugin in my project. I'm looking forward to your answer.

Hi,

We've done several tests with Deadline 7.1 and all Forest objects were rendered correctly. Let me mention, that Deadline 5.2 is over 2 years old and it's no longer supported by Thinkbox, therefore we can't guarantee its full functionality with Forest Pack plug-in. Thanks for your comprehension.

Anyway, I would suggest you to go through our "Distributed Rendering issues" post (even it's not DR related) and perform some basic tests. Might be some of your Slaves isn't properly configured.

Best regards,
