Problem follwing spline
« on: June 15, 2008, 11:47:23 AM »
Hi

For some reason my trees will not follow a glued spline. The spline is glued to the surface but when the gl spline is used to create the forest it is created above the glued spline on a flat plane. I'm sure there is something simple causing this but have tried all of the options in glue and forest to no avail (I am glueing to the gl line and not the normal line).

Hope you can help I have a lot of hills to populate with trees.....

Thanks

Geoff

Edit- just tested it and it is actually glueing the trees to the original line even when I select the gl line- have tried deleting/hiding the original line and reinstalling glue....

You can't use glued splines with Forest, because a spline doesn't have the the elevation data needed to place the items correctly. Use the "Surface" options of Forest Pro to link the trees over the terrain.
