How to use FP pro with Redshift?
« on: June 19, 2020, 07:49:24 PM »
Hi,
I'm trying to use FP 6.2.4 with Redshift 2.6.54 (on Max 2017).
I want too scatter tree bitmap on simple plane.
I guess I should replace the default FP "Standard material" by a RS "sprite material" but this doesn't work. Only grey planes...
What am I missing?
Is there any beginner tutorial about this?

Cheers.

Hi, please try assigning the material to Geometry->Material, not to the Forest object.
For 3D objects (not billboards), you also can assign the material to the source object, and leave Geometry->Material empty.

The material assigned to Forest is only for viewport, and ignored at render. This is due that Forest may scatter multiple source objects, each one with its own material.
