water drops
« on: March 24, 2015, 11:04:53 AM »
hello,
I try to use forest to paint water drops on a bottle but I can not do what I want.
I tryed first with XY mode but it's limited to one plane. I can detach part of the face and create multiple forest but it's a bit complicated.
I tryed then with UV mode and a gradient map to place the density of water droplets but forest doesn't seem to understand the gradient (see attachment).
Am I doing something wrong ?
Thank you for your help

Hi Pierre,

For purposes like that, would be the UV mode the right choice. Under Surface - Altitude Range you can control Top & Bottom limits and also Density Falloff & Scale Falloff. This way you can easily define desired effect.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,

Pierre
