Problems with surfaces imported from C4D
« on: March 06, 2019, 11:00:29 AM »
Hi everyone,

I had to import a model from C4D to 3ds max (it was previously created on Archicad, if it helps to fix the issue). The point is that when I add a surface to my forest object (which is a preset from the library), it automatically disappears. At the beggining i supposed that it was a matter of scale, so I fixed it but the error continues. I've checked and flipped all the normals, but still the same.

My 3ds max version is 2019,  Forest Pro 6.0.7b, C4D 19 and Archicad 21.0.0.

Anyone could help me?

Thank you all!!

Hi,

Applying the Reset XForm utility over that surface to reset its local coordinates & scale should fix it. To rebuild the Forest object, use the the Update surfaces data button or feel free to mark the Auto check-box (to Update surface data automatically - this may add a performance hit for complex surfaces).

If the problem persists, please feel free to send us  your scene to analyze it here. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
