Randomly changing colours on render farm
« on: April 26, 2023, 09:56:24 pm »
Hi,

I'm hoping someone can point out where I'm going wrong here.

I'm rendering a scene using Forest Pack Pro for quite a few items. Grass, trees, shrubs and even cars in a car park.

I followed the Rendering parked cars with Forest Pack tutorial on YouYube, including the Randomise vehicle colourssection. All seemed to work well, but I've encountered a problem using render farms. I seem to be getting small chunks of frames where everything is rendering fine, and then suddenly, the colours of the cars will change. I've attached two sequential frames to show the problem.

I'm pretty sure it must be user error on my part, but does anyone know where I might be going wrong?

Thanks,

Andy

Check if there is no animation on the distribution curve or surface.

Hi Andy,

Please double-check that you did install on all your render nodes the same release of the plug-in. When installing our plug-in, be sure you are not running any 3ds Max or related service during the installation process. You can get the plug-in version also from the following Maxscript command:

getFileVersion("C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\ForestPackPro2023\Contents\plugins\2023/ForestPackPro.dlo")

Also, I would suggest you switch to the Custom Edit mode to see if there is any difference.

Thanks in advance for any further comments on this issue you can share about it with us / our user community (in case some user(s) will run into similar troubles).

Best regards,
