Hello there! I'm making some medieval fence and just stuck on the idea of how to randomly change uv per each item.... The latest vray uvrandomizer map is not working here....
....any thoughts folks?
Thanks!

Would You illustrate Your fence You made with ForestPack?
I have hard time imagining that yet.
-
--- all boards has the same uv's
--- and vray's uv randomizer affects by a whole forest object but not per each forest item randomly....
-
for this kind of fence RailClone (https://www.itoosoft.com/railclone)would be better choice.
RailClone has its own UVW node to do the job.
There is no way to randomize UVW with ForestPack.
-
So to randomly shift uv's per each instance I have to buy a separate plugin? Thanks for your valuable help!
-
I am just recommending another tool, in my opinion, better suited for the task.
You can manually prepare more geometry objects with shifted UVs and use those if ForestPack.

If this is a proper place for a feature request:
It will be a nice option to use latest Vray's maps like VrayUVWRandomizer and VrayMultiSubTex in randomisation of uv coordinates and mixing textures per each forest item!
Also, the most widely used competitor "Multiscater" supports those two maps!
To me it sounds weird when a good instancing plugin does not support those maps from such widely used rendering system like Vray....
-
this is a big area with medieval fences generated with Multiscater, each item plank is hi poly object with randomly shifted uv's and mixing 3 different textures....
---- I really don't planned to introduce other instancing system in pipeline.... Hope you guys can add this feature in ForestPack!

We will look into this feature for future version.
Thanks for expressing the interest.

Any ETA for this feature?
