Title: Reflection on windows
Post by: KI4367 on March 09, 2016, 11:32:19 AM
Hi everybody! I'm new in this forum but I use FP since a long time.
I'm writing because I have  a problem: as you can see in the attached image, in the windows of the building there are no reflections of the trees that are scattered behind the camera, you can only see the reflection of the hill.
I use Corona as render engine.
Is there a solution?

Hi,

By using the Limit to visibility (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/FORESTPACK/Camera#Camera-Camera) feature, the distribution is limited only to the areas covered by the camera's field of view. This way the plugin allows you to build only the items which are inside of the camera's frustrum, allowing to create large areas of vegetation while minimizing the number of scattered items.

You can increase Camera - Back Offset and Camera - Expand values until the problem disappear or disable the Limit to visibility feature completely.

For the grass on sloped terrain I would suggest you to take advantage of Scale to fit sloped area option (or set Direction settings under Surface tab to Surface's Normal (0)). You can find more about these setting in our on-line reference guide (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/FORESTPACK/General).

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
