Scale by Include/Exclude effect not working?
(1/1)
DT:
Hi I want to scale my grass longer around edges of exclude and include. I've tried using the effects Scale by Include or Exclude. Neither work; it makes my grass towards the edges disappear, no matter if I set the scale higher or lower. using the curve editor.
I'm using Edge boundary to have a clean edge, so I thought that was causing problems but I set it to point and it's still the same, what am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with it. Besides increasing the FalloffDistance value, did you also adjust the XYScaleCurve or ZScaleCurve as needed? If so, please feel free to send us your scene (ideally simplified and containing only the problematic object(s)), and we'll take a look. Thank you in advance for any additional details you can share with us or our user community, in case others encounter similar issues.
Best regards,

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes, I've changed the curves that's when the grass starts to disappear. I just tried again, but with a fresh scene and a new Forest pack and a cylinder as geometry and it works as expected, but can't get it to work with the file I'm working on. I've send an email to the helpdesk, hope you can find the problem. Thank you.
Michal Karmazín:
Replied by email.

Thanks for the reply, so for anyone wondering or having the same issue in the future, there was a rotation value in my distribution (not transform but rotating the distribution map), setting it to 0 solved the issue.
