Author Topic: Forest Pack Forgets all material editor changes in 3ds Max & Vray  (Read 765 times)

I had a project in which I altered the texture of forest pro trees via the material editor using the color correction map. I got all the trees and grass the way I wanted them to be, and it rendered fine. At some point I had to go to another project so I set the project folder to that other project. Later setting the project folder back to the initial project (the one with Forest Pro assets) resulted in all the changes I made to the texture to revert back to their preset state.

When I eyedropper the material that is on the grass it seems to make a new texture from the old altered one, but it also has all the color correction maps and simply not express them anymore.

Forgot to mention: I've tried re assigning the material through forest pack pro modifier tab setting, and I have tried assigning the old texture (if still stored in the slate editor) but neither express the old settings in render

Not allowing Forest Pack pro to automatically link to its files seems to allow the old settings if I link each map manually. The issue with this is it will no longer keep generated grass geometry at all, and the whole process is very cumbersome.

Hi thanks for contacting us.
I have just tried to replicate steps You wrote and it works as expected here.
Maybe You did something else to reset custom material.
