Hello,
What is the best way for scattering a large number of balconies with plants?

Hi,

As mentioned in the following "how to: forest on multiple level base geometry (tower balconies)" post:

"There are several ways how to archive the desired effect and from release 4.1.2 there is a Randomize Stacked function.

1) You can use the UV mode of scattering on surfaces and then slightly change UV mapping for different levels.

2) Using XY mode with the Randomize Stacked option marked. To allow the Randomize Stacked function to work you'll need to detach it to several objects and assign them back in the Surface tab. This way you can use it also in UV mode."

You might find the Populating Building Interiors tutorial helpful, explaining this and a few other techniques more in detail.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
