scattering on a forest object?
« on: December 21, 2018, 03:03:08 PM »
Hi,

I'm sure this was asked before but I can't find the answer.

I need to scatter an object on the surface of items in a forest object.
Specifically spheres on trees scattered by forest pack.

Even if I have only one tree I get the message that the max limit was passed.
It doesn't happen if I scatter the same sphere on a single geometry tree (not using forest pack).

Any ideas?

I do not know any efficient way to do that with ForestPack.

It would be better to use trees with those spheres already attached in the first place.

Hm, ok.
With corona scatter I can though (scatter objects on scattered trees).

Is this currently possible to do? To scatter objects on top of objects scattered by forest pack.

I'm afraid it's not possible, at least keeping everything as instances.

The only way could be generating the first Forest as a mesh (Display->Render->Mode->Meshes), and then using it as Surface for the second Forest object.
