selecting multiple items from the library

Is there a way to select multiple objects at once from the libraries?
I notice you can pick multiple custom objects from your scene, but
what about if you wanted to quickly grab 20 tree types from one of
the libraries rather than adding them individually?  thanks!

No, sorry. In the current version it's not possible to select multiple items from the library. But this feature is not difficult to implement, we'll add it for a next release.
