Im sure there is a way to do this but im stumped. I have created a tree library on a PC and now I'm wanting to transfer to a new PC and use my old library. I have gone to the folder where I created the library and there is an index file. I cant seem to link that to a library green book object. I have added a path in preferences which links to that folder, but no joy. What is the best way to do this? Thanks

It should be as simple as adding the path to Your Library Browser:

Maybe You are adding a path one level too deep and do not see the librarie. If You could attach some screenshots to illustrate, maybe we could see where the problem is.
Process is described in this guide how to install The3dGarden libraries (https://docs.itoosoft.com/forestpack/forest-library/installing-the3dgarden-plant-collections).

Thanks Rokas. I'm not at my pc just now but I did try going a level up. The problem was when I pressed the use path button it automatically took me in to the next level before it would submit the request. Also I notice some pre packaged catalogues like max tree have .lib files where I only have an index file. Is there a way to generate a .lib file?
Thanks

what is a *.lib file? ForestPack does not use these. It uses regular folders + index.xml scheme.

Think I have solved this with your help. I went up a further level and FP has now picked up the library. Also some other folders but that's OK. The lib files are in Max Tree folders but sounds like they are for something else. Maybe material switching. Anyway thanks again
