Sloping surfaces - best practice
« on: February 27, 2012, 02:57:31 PM »
What is the best practise for populating sloping surfaces with grass etc?  I rarely have a ground surface which are flat so, this rules out splines right?  At the moment I copy ground planes and remove polys accordingly, this is cumbersome and pretty inaccurate and requires repair work to the mesh to create desired edges.  Is there a better procedure?  I would love to be able to include/exclude with splines on a plane surface.

Well, currently you can use splines to define the scattering area, while placing the items on the surface:

- In the area list, turn off the Surfaces area. This area should be on only if you want to fill the full surface with items.
- Add the area splines that you need (you should add one Include area, at least).
