Hello,

I want to be able to edit individual trees in one Forest Pack object in post-production with the help of a render element like "VrayWirecolor"

But all the trees in one Forest Pack object seem to have the same Wirecolour.

How can I change this this somehow please?

Thanks!
Pieter

Hi Pieter,

Unfortunately it's not possible to generate multiples IDs from a Forest object. Both Max and VRay see it as a single entity, with its own object ID.
As far as i know, we cannot modify vertex colour or other channels from the plugin either. These channels are handled  internally by V-Ray.

But as workaround, you would use Forest Tools to generate stand-alone instances. These instances inherit the ID and wireframe color from the source object. Or you could try Material IDs as outlined in this post: http://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=3525.msg13780#msg13780

I hope that helps,

Paul
