Equivalent of Thickness for closed splines?

Is there a way to extend instances outwards or outside the boundaries of a closed spline?
The equivalent of "thickness" but for closed splines.

There is option to force Open Splines exactly for this usecase:

It would be if there was a way to leave the elements in the center.
I need to have an area like that and be able to fine tune the border outwards without having to edit the spline.

You can add same spline two times. one as area another as open spline:
