Title: Surface Scaling Problem
Post by: William Pruitt on March 20, 2018, 01:09:51 AM
I created a Forest on a surface and then scaled the surface down but the forest did not scale with it. The original forest as well as new forests are building onto where the surface was before I scaled it down. I tried rebuilding the forest and resetting the Xform of the surface, neither of which had any effect. How do I build a forest on this scaled down surface?

Running latest Max and Version 6.0.1

Regards,
William

Hi William,

Applying the Reset XForm utility over that surface to reset its local coordinates & scale should fix it. To rebuild the Forest object, use the the Update surfaces data button or feel free to mark the Auto check-box (to Update surface data automatically - this may add a performance hit for complex surfaces).

If the problem persists, please feel free to send us (http://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=3648.0)  your scene to analyze it here. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
