Browsing the library
« on: July 06, 2016, 10:52:27 AM »
Hi!

I want to add some more plants into my FP Object.

Is there an easier way to do so, instead of creating a new FP Object > Browse Library > Custom Edit > place it in the scene, and then pick the plant from there?

Hi,

If those objects are already present in your scene, you can easily add multiple objects to the Geometry list by the "Add Multiple Custom Objects" button (to select multiple object from the list either select individually while holding down control, or select a range by clicking the first object then hold down shift and click the last object).

If those need to be imported first, let me mention, that's possible to combine several items into presets to have an easy & fast access to those. I would suggest to check our "Creating Libraries" tutorial covering related topic in detail.

Please feel free to describe your scenario more in detail. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Thank you Michal,

The scenario is that initially, no objects are present in the scene.
I create "browse" object by creating a Forest object, then browse the library and pick items I like from there. It could be single objects or presets.
Then, I unhide the "forest_templates" layer and start adding multiple custom objects.

I was hoping there was a smarter way to browse meshes.

I'll investigate the Creating Libraries tutorial as well.
