Hi there,
I'm a long time FP user but still struggle with some of the basics from time to time and could use some help.
Right now I want to grow taller grass near trees.
In the tutorial linked below, the grass is scaled based on the exclude area.
https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/how-to-create-realistic-grass-edges-using-forest-effects?back=page%3D4%26tag%3DforestpackThis sounds pretty straightforward, but in a real example it won't work because we have multiple exclude areas, such as a gravel path through the grass which is also excluded. In this case the grass near the path would also be scaled.
So my questions.
What is the easiest way to get taller grass only near trees without affecting all exclude areas?
I guess the most logical way would be to have a second FP and include only the area around the trees, but I don't see any way to set this up.
Out of curiosity: Why is it not possible to add objects as an include area?
I can think of one way, but I don't like it very much.
Exclude the surface and add the outline of the spline as include, so I don't have an exclude spline.
Not very artist friendly as we have to update the spline every time the surface changes.
Thank you very much!
