Mis-aligned distributions on separate base objects
« on: December 12, 2018, 12:35:13 AM »
How can you move the origin point of a forest object?

I have two landscape base planes, which touch on an edge. I have forest objects which spread over both planes (they use both baseplanes as surfaces).

I applied a noise map with a World XYZ source as the distribution map for the forest objects. The forest objects do not align with each other. Their distributions are offset from each other. It is probably because when I created the forest objects, sometimes I clicked on the first baseplane to start (and then added the second baseplane as an additional surface), and other times I created a forest object by clicking on the second baseplane (then added the first baseplane as an additional surface).

I even tried aligning one forest object to the pivot point of another, but their distribution maps still did not align.

How do you set all the forest objects to use the same distribution origin point?

Thank you,
Matt

For this You should set ForestPack object icon at the same origin:

Hope this helps:
