Hi,
I created a closed spline in top view for a gravel driveway in front of a house. but driveway is on a slope so I move a few vertices in the z (so now spline is not a flat 2d shape) but when i go to create a forest gravel it just hangs, hitting Esc will bring back the scene so it doesn't crash me out of max. but I really need the gravel on a slope
should i just create a surface and use that rather than a spline
thanks
Tom

Yes You need to use surface if You need gravel on sloped surface.

Thanks,
got is sorted with a surface.
so splines are out when they have xyz coords, is this just for gravel or all items
cheers

if You use spline- forest will be placed flat in the highest position of the spline.

Using surface is always good idea. It opens up many possibilities.
