translation problem

Hi all,

im trying to get the distribution following the green path but i cannot achieve this effect. Model in center should be lower than extremities.
I have a blue/black gradiant left to right for the Z translation but cannot get it to reach the wanted effect.

Maybe someone have a clear idea?
