Title: Tree disapears....
Post by: BG4805 on September 26, 2015, 07:43:54 PM
Hi
i'm making an animation composed by differences sequences on vray 3.2

On each sequence  the trees, or grass disappears around 10 or 20 frames .

i read  some posts here before ask,  the only thing i didn't tested is to switch to custom mode in tree editor...
when i do this , render came without single mesh, all vanished.

It is possible to keep the  distribution made  in  "generate" mode in "custom mode" ?  think it ws like this...but apparently not.

can u explain what i missing ?

thanks

Erick

Hi, Custom Edit mode should keep the last distribution of Generate mode without changes.

The only feature which would hide items both in Generate and Custom Edit mode is Camera->Limit to visibility.
Please, check if this option is enabled. If so, try increasing Expand and Back offset parameters, or directly turn it off. Anyway, it's not necessary to render, you can check the Clipping effect on viewport.

If Camera clipping is not the problem, please send us a simplificated scene to support@itoosoft.com and we'll check it.

Thanks,

ok thanks will send a simplified scene  .....
the other question is  " can i make animation " on "generate mode" without loosing trees?

i know i depends of GI and AA, but think they're enough high  to not have this problem.

by example i made a animaton of an inerior, ther's a carpet made with forest pro....all is well till  frame 190, at frame 190 carpet disapears till 199, back at 200, disapears  at 260 till 269 (stilll 9 frames) , and back till the end.

Very strange behaviour.

thanks

Erick

That behaviour is not normal. Of course you can make an animation on Generate mode, items should not dissapear.

Are you rendering using a render farm or locally ?  On render farms, this problem may be caused by nodes which has not the plugin installed, or are from a different version.
Locally, there is not any reason. But we'll have more information once check your scene.
