Double color tint
« on: September 23, 2014, 02:50:33 PM »
Hello.

While i was trying to improve my grass settings, i'm facing a problem and i wanted to know if there was a workaround.

Here's my setup :
- a model
- a forest #1 of that model with a color variation
- a forest #2 of the first forest with another variation

My probleme is, when i pick model in my second forest, i loose my first color variation.
Same thing if i export to vrayproxy my first forest, i loose variation tint.

Has anybody got any tricks for me ?

Thanks !

Hey, i've find a way to fix this.

Looking here : http://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/tutorial_forestcolor.php

I've found the existence of : Tint by element instead of item, which now tint my forest#2 randomly independently from my forest#1
My bad !

Yes, that is the way to tint individual elements within a Custom Object.
By the way, Forest Color is not compatible with VRayProxies. It works only with standard geometries or Forest objects.
