trees on open spline but on uneven surface
« on: May 10, 2016, 06:39:20 PM »
Hello,
I am a new user. I purchased forestpro today only. I have a query which i am trying to sort out past 2-3 hours. I want to plant trees in my scene around the roads. Roads are on uneven terrain. I drew tree path in top view & used Glue script to drop spline on my surface. Now when i am using forest pro to grow tree on that spline, trees are growing only on 1 level & not following the spline levels. I noticed when i go to custom edit in tree editor, tree start following spline but thn i am not getting how to control density of trees.. Im sure i am missing something here.. Can any experienced used help me out in this? Thanks!

Hi,

There is no need to conform such path to the surface at all. Feel free to leave that spline "flat" and just add such terrain under the Surface list by hitting the Add surface button and selecting it. That'll move distributed items accordingly on the Z axis.

Please feel free to check more detailed information in our on-line reference guide.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
