Hi,

I'm trying to scatter office furniture over multiple floors. Everything works fine until I add the Z_Rotate_Step effect. As soon as I do this, it will only scatter on the very top plane. I've tried it in a new scene with just boxes and the outcome is the same.

Any ideas?

I'm using 3ds max 2016 sp3 and FP 5.1.0

Many thanks,

Chris

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this issue on stacked surfaces. We'll see what can be done to avoid such unwanted behaviour.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to use the UV mode or the Probability Curves feature. Also I would suggest you to check our "Populate Building Interiors" tutorial covering this topic in detail. Hope you'll find it interesting and helpful.

Best regards,

Hi Michal,

Thanks for the workaround, I'll use one of those for the time being.

Cheers,

Chris
