Title: Unable to drive scale change with map channel

Pretty much what the title says. I run FP 5.2.0 on 3ds max 2016. I can drive scale changes with procedural maps like noise etc, but scale in a controlled way using textures and UV's. See attached.

Oh and yes... If I change the map to object based XYZ - then something happens, but it seems unpredictable.
