Attach two splines, only one is with forest pack.
« on: February 20, 2018, 06:30:13 PM »
I create two splines in 3ds max with different elevations (Photo 1)
Then with Modify->Edit poly->attach I attach both of them into one. (Photo 2)

Then with forest pack, I click them but as you see only to the upper line
forest pack is applied. (Photo 3)

Is possible to tell me what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any answer.

Hi,

The Spline Area without having any Surface assigned (under the Surface tab) is using the highest point of the spline to determine at which altitude all items should be placed.

To get the desired result, you may convert these into a mesh (for example by using the Editable Spline > Outline > Editable Poly workflow) and assign as the Surface Area or don't attach these splines together and treat them in separate Forest objects.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

Thanks for the inspiring answer...  :)

Finally I create closed and not open splines in different z elevations.
Then I convert them into editable mesh and attach them
all together.
Then when I apply forest pack, I can see it on all splines.
Beautiful!
:)
