Using paint mode is sooooo slow - unlike the feature video

Hi all,

got problem with using paint mode for scattering.
its so slow i cant work with it at all :-///
even when i use point clout at 1 percent!!!!
whats the catch?
where could the problem be?
got 3GB graphics card...that cant be it for sure
Please help i am under deadline

The responsiveness of the paint mode depends not only of the point cloud, but also from other elements as the complexity of the area, the surface, etc.

Do you have the same problem creating a new Paint area ?  If you edit a very complex region, it may be a bit slow because the perimeter must be evaluated periodically. In this case, may be useful to convert it to spline and create a new area.

If you send us a test scene, we would check if there is some problem.

hte object itself is probably the case...i have used a proxy mode in the viewport and its ok now
