Problem with opacity maybe
« on: December 12, 2016, 01:10:26 AM »
Hi team,

Does anyone know if this is caused by opacity? Half the leaves render ok. The other half render as if there is a hole there. It's kind of random. I've run the material optimizer for vray but it keeps appearing. This happens only in leaves that have opacity... How can I render them? Do I need to use only trees with geometry leaves?

Kind regards

Hi,

That looks like a "Backface Cull" issue. In case, you're using the V-Ray renderer and you've enabled the Global switches - Force back face culling option (by default disabled), switching it OFF should fix it.

Best regards,

Hi Michal,

Today it worked. It wasn't the checkbox in vray global switches. I entered again the path to the textures and it worked. I must have missed something the first time??. Sorry for wasting your time...  :P

Hi,

No worries at all. Glad to hear, that's working fine and wish you best results.
