V-Ray Material Override
« on: June 12, 2015, 03:05:19 AM »
My grass is making my white soffit green, so I put a V-Ray Override Material with a Vray gray material for the GI over it. I render, the green reflection is still there and when I go back to the material, the override material is gone.

Hi,

As mentioned in our on-line reference guide: "Since any object in Max can only have one material applied, Forest Pack Pro automatically creates a Multi/Sub object material based on the materials assigned to each individual item in the Geometry List. "

It is not safe to modify directly that "automaterial", because Forest keeps references to its source materials. Instead you should modify the material linked to that item - Custom Object(s) - Material. Any changes made this way, will be projected safely to the Forest's "automaterial".

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
