Replacing low detail with high detail asset inside forest
« on: September 01, 2016, 01:55:19 PM »
Hi, i have some objects scattered inside a forest. All are low polys and i wanna replace em with high polys so i can do some close up shots, and i do not want em to move or change or anything at all. Just to have higher polys. Is that possible? thanks

Hi,

Well, there shouldn't be any problem as assigning the "high-poly" object(s) over the actual "low-poly" item(s) under Geometry - Properties - Custom Object will not have influence over the distribution (unless you're using the Collisions feature based on item's size).

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

Thanks, im asking this cause it seemed on my viewport that did affect the distribution while i had no collisions. Is that likely? Or probably only in my viewport (point cloud)? I couldnt render to verify scene was too heavy for tests. thanks
