Align objects to path?
« on: July 12, 2015, 09:06:16 AM »
Is there a way to align objects along a path automatically?  I know i can use the Custom edit, pick the path and create the objects following the path, but i want forest to create them automatically following the path. is it possible?

No, unfortunately it's not possible without using the Custom Edit mode.

The Generate mode includes an option to use open splines, but items are scattered around the path (with a definible thickness), not aligned with it.

Hi,

If you're a RailClone user, there's no reason why you couldn't use it for this purpose. If you ensure the segments have Bend and Slice disabled it will have the same instancing power as Forest Pack. The only disadvantage is that you can't use Forest Colour.

Thanks!

The thing is I use it for hedges and many sorts of bushes at the same time.
It is a real pain to set up the multi-sub in Railclone and also it crashes as soon I load 2-3 bushes into it. Probably too heavy to handle.

Anyway, I sorted it out and it turned out great with forestpro  :)
