is the latest FP version compatible with V-Ray 6?

The latest versions of Forest Pack and RailClone have experimental support for V-Ray 6. Let us know if anything isn't working as it should.

Unfortunately it crashes 3ds Max (2023) for me. Actually, if I start an interactive rendering it will crash 3ds Max immediately. When I do a normal render it causes the rendering to stop immediately and then FP breaks. 3ds Max continues to run fine but the Forest Pack settings become unresponsive.

Looking forward to the updated version with Vray 6 compatibility. Max 2023 crashes when using IPR, and shows a black render when using normal bucketrendering. With the forests hidden, everything is fine ;-)

VRay 6 is officially out, waiting for final FP release with VRay 6 support.

Excellent job with the very fast 7.4.3 update guys! Seems to be working perfect with Vray 6 and Max 2023 over here. Haven't tested it to the max, but at first glance it looks good!

We are experiencing a few crashes with FP 7.4.3 in Max 2021 with VRay 6. Interactive appears to be very unstable with FP. Moving a camera can cause the scene to crash and sometimes will just crash when trying to start the scene.
its been narrowed down to forestpack as when they are hidden it works fine. two colleagues currently experiencing crashes the most, while i have experienced none. same software setups.

Hi Theo, thanks for the report. Next time a crash happens, please send the minidump to helpdesk@itoosoft.com with details on what you were doing when it crashed. If you have a simplified scene that reproduces it as well - even better.

Checking the minidump, crash seems to happen in the V-Ray side.
We have forwarded the issue to the ChaosGroup team.

I'm having the same issue here w/ FP and RC. Vray 6 w/ max 2023. Cant start an ipr session w/o it crashing w/ a FP or RC object in the scene. I already escalated to the Chaos team as I tried renders w/o those elements and max,vr run fine.

Hello, I just updated to FP 7.4.3 on 3ds max 2021 and vray 6 and it is not compatible. Is there a trick I am missing?

It works fine here, using default installation. Is there a compatibility error, or what does it exactly ?

Hmmm just tested it with a new file and it does indeed work... might be something with the other file. Thanks
