Octane Render Support dropped?
« on: September 17, 2018, 02:15:42 PM »
Hi there. Is it true that all support for Octane Render has been dropped in version 6? I got a mail with the new scanned rocks and layered grass. There seems no support for Octane.
I would need to renew my license. So if I install v6 will all previous models be without materials?

It is not dropped, Forest Pack still supports Octane Renderer.

Not all included libraries are prepared for Octane, though.
Previous libraries, which were prepared with Octane will remain working fine.

I listing of which libraries are supported would be a nice have.

Hey,

the newly added libs like layered lawns, rocks, leaves and vertical still don't have Octane materials, is that right? If so, when will you add them?

I am trying a workaround here using the octane converter to convert the forest material, however, when updating the renderer, the materials switch back to standard as if I never converted them....  :o Why is that?

I would really really appreciate for you to add the Octane materials, it would improve the workflow massively. We're paying the same fee after all  ;)

Greetings  ;D
