vray matte object
« on: June 11, 2012, 06:29:29 PM »
Hi

I have an interior scene where I see my trees through the glass, I want to render the interior with brute force then re render the glass with irradiance map.

I cant seem to get the matte object to work, if i change the forest object in vray properties to matte object, the textures all go weird and becomes very green.

If i use a vraymtlwrapper and turn on matte surface, I dont get the reflections of the trees in the interior?

Whats the correct way to do it?

Thanks

Do you get the same result converting the trees to stand-alone object ? (for example using Forest Tools).

I'm not a matte expert, but if you send us a test scene we may take a look to it.

Hi,

There is an option under vray properties No GI on other mattes, now I seem to have the correct color!
