Grass spilling over edge onto kerb
« on: July 31, 2012, 02:13:18 PM »
I am using a surface to create my forest object which consists of grass clumps to replicate realistic Grass. I have a kerb running along the edge of the grass area and some of my grass clumps hang over the edge of the surface and hence stick out of my kerb object.

Are there any options to to offset slightly the forest object so that it doesn't reach completely to the edge of my surface and so won't stick out of my kerb?

Thanks
James

Yes, but it's necessary to define the boundary using a spline, not only with the surface.

Once the area is assigned, set Areas->Boundary Checking to "Size", or use the Faloff options. Also be sure to turn off the "Surface Area" to not create overlapped items.
