VRay shadow issue
« on: March 22, 2023, 03:38:12 PM »
Hi all,

I'm sure I've had this issue before but I can't for the life of me find the topic (it may even have been on the chaos group forums) - d'oh!

I've got a problem with shadows in Forest Pro. Basically the areas of grass that are clipped with Edge Mode are still casting shadows, even though they're not visible. Any ideas how to solve?

I've tried increasing max. transparency levels to 500 in vray, but to no avail.

What version of FP and V-ray are you using? Recently V-ray changed/optimized and you need to have the latest FP.

Hi,

If you’re not using the latest Forest Pack 8.1.0, please give it a try. It comes with “Fixed shadow of trimmed elements in Edge Mode when using a Surface as area, and rendering with V-Ray 6.10.02.”

I hope that helps.

Best regards,

Perfect. That's fixed it.

Thanks all.
