Ways to exclude in UV mode?

Hi there,

How would you exclude an area in the attached case?
Thanks.

As I recall, that render was done by applying the FP object to a UV surface. It's not currently possible to use exclude areas in that mode, but it something we're actually looking into improving at the moment.

Best,
Paul.

How about a distance map? Is that possible? For example, with Corona distance map and a volume in the area that I want to exclude from?

I think using a classic boolean or better tyBoolean will serve very well.

This should work if you use the distance map as a Distribution texture. Note that you generally need to set the FP object to world origin when using Distance maps in this way.
