Objects not conforming to spline
« on: January 13, 2021, 10:35:52 AM »
I'm having trouble in a scene where new Forest objects are not conforming to the spline, they are offset every time. The spline was created in Max, not imported from anywhere else.

It doesn't happen in a new drawing and didn't happen previously in this same scene for other Forest objects. Any ideas what might have happened?!

Any help greatly appreciated as I'm on a tight deadline.

seems Your template object pivots has been moved, when used with custom geometry items it works fine:

Ah, I see. Is there a way I can reset the template pivot? I noticed that it was outside the spline but didn't know why.

I tried a larger area using an Itoo 2D tree purely for the purpose of shadows but when I enable some random rotation it rotates way outside the spline, I imagine due to the pivot again.

You can delete Forest_templates layer and FP will recreate correct ones next time You create FP object
