Windows crash when using Forest Pack library with Google Drive
« on: November 22, 2021, 10:02:23 PM »
Hi. I've encountered an issue where sometimes windows explorer will completely freeze while I'm trying to open one of my libraries in the library browser. I'll see the files with the thumbnails saying, "loading thumbnails" and then windows explorer freezes and all I can do is power my PC off and restart it. My files are in a synced google drive folder on my hard drive, which I assume is the cause of the issue somehow.

Hi, we don't recommend using google drive as a location for saving the libraries as it creates a virtual file system that loads the data from the cloud and caches it elsewhere. We'd recommend locating the library on a local drive somewhere instead to avoid issues.

Thanks,
Paul
