Thanks for your suggestions !. I'm glad that you like the plugin.
Select the FP object from the quad menu, when selecting the surface object and vice versa.
The surface would be listed when selecting Forest, but i think the inverse process is not possible, because the way that Max handles the references.
Drag n drop library thumbnails for custom objects
We tried it, but unfortunately the support of Drag n Drop in Max seems restricted to some certain type of elements (materials, textures, and so).
Ability to rearange library objects and move/copy them to and from different custom libraries.
Yes, this would an interesting feature. Currenty it is possible to drag elements in the left panel (libraries and folders), but not single items. Just added to the wishlist.
An Icon in the 3dsmax toolbar for Forest Creation/ Item in Quad menu for Forest Creation
Ok. This is configurable with Customize User Interface->Toolbars/Quad, but we must create before a couple of scripts, to register the plugins in the interface.
Selecting multiple items from the geometry list with ctrl/Shift/Ctrl+A, and be able to edit them all at once ( local scale etc)
This suggestion was already in the to-do list. Unfortunately it requires some deep changes in the Forest interface. I hope we can include it soon.
Local width and hight aspect ratio lock button.
Ok.
And finally a question: is it possible to export the FP library, when the .max files are on an external HD?
Sometimes i'd like to work on my laptop and like to have the same library on an external HD.
On my workstation the files are stored in the default location.
Yes, the libraries can be stored in any location. Just add a custom path using Library Browser->Change preferences (icon)->Library paths->Add.
You also can copy or move libraries, just copying the files. Futhermore, each library is defined using a XML file, so it is easy to edit the content using a text editor.
