Title: Wood trellis wall
Post by: Pierre on January 11, 2017, 06:48:33 PM
Hello,
I try to build a wall with a wood trellis like the example "trellis.jpg". I'm using forest but maybe railclone would be better ?
I'm using UV mode because the trellis is build on 3 perpendicular faces. At the angle I don't know how to cut the branch in uv mode.
Can you explain me how to do this?
Thank you
Pierre

Hi,

Well, with Forest Pack you'll find corners & openings hard to solve and usually you'll need to combine multiple Forest objects (you might find handy the UV mode (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/FORESTPACK/Surface#Surface-Mode) - you should "remap" the UV coordinates of used surface precisely to get desired result).

In this case you may archive better results using very simple style within the RailClone plug-in (as that will adapt the source geometry), which will handle those "problematic" places easily.

Hope that helps a bit.

Best regards,
