Paint area in perspective view Problem
« on: October 13, 2015, 05:07:01 PM »
Hi There,

I'm using fp 4.4.1 in 3dsmax 2016 and 2014.
in 2014 i was able to paint an area in the perspective view.
In 2016 i can only paint in the top view, but not in the perspective/camera view anymore.
No paint icon (circle) apears in the perspective view.

Tested it side by side a minute ago with the same procedure for creating a paint area.

Is this normal behaviour/is there a fix?

Thanks and best regards,

Michal Karmazín

Hi,

Up to now we don't have any similar issue reported. Actually, as just double checked with with FP 4.4.1 & 3ds Max 2016 on multiple computers, all works as supposed.

I would suggest you to double check Brush Options for the the Paint Area - Paint tool (as shown on attached screenshots), if those values are corresponding to your "model size". Might be, you should push them up. Settings for 3ds Max's Paint Deformation tool you can find under the Brush Options button.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply!

After reinstalling and restarting everything seems to work fine now.

Best regards,
