Point cloud view
« on: May 09, 2011, 04:38:04 PM »
The new point cloud view is potentially very useful, particularly with areas of shrubs and grass. However, it would be better to be able to have a different percentage for each FP object, that way we can fine tune our scenes to make the best compromise between display and performance.
Kind Regards,

When we created the point cloud view, we were thinking if the density parameter should be local or global. Finally we choosed global because in a scene with lot of Forest objects would be very difficult to tune the display performance modifying each one of the objects.

I understand. In the situation where we have large areas of FP grass, large areas of FP shrubs and bushes and large areas of FP trees, it would be very useful to have the option if at all possible.

I see. We will think if there is some way to solve both problems.
