Forest Not Rendering
« on: June 14, 2016, 09:42:30 PM »
I have mentioned this in an early thread, however, now I have proof (see video). My Forest objects are not rendering. I have to delete them and create them again to get anything.

As you can see, after I cancel the render, there are no errors.

Deleting and adding back didn't work. The license manager read fine, I did upgrade V-Ray this morning, if that matters.

jacksc02, over on tehe V-Ray forum, traced the issue to MAX's Physical Camera. I haven't confirmed yet. however, he said that V-Ray's camera works fine.

I can verify. Using a V-Ray camera, opposed to a Physical camera, worked.
3DS MAX 2016, VRay 3.40.02, and FP Beta.

Okay, good to know. I deleted the physical cam and used a V-Ray cam, which got me around the problem.

Hi!

we installed 3dsmax 2017 today and twice the new 507 and guess what ;)

the strange thing was that i could render preset grass in a fully empty scene, but no way to get it rendered in a recent scene.
strange thing was that billboards worked.

Vray RT rendered the grass.. pretty weird ;)
thanks for the workaround infos! i will try them.

EDIT:
disabling "enable motion blur" on the physical cam solved the problem!!!
THANKS!! i would have never found this solution myself until the next update.
