Forestpack beta 7 deforms Octane Proxy obkects
« on: June 17, 2016, 11:20:03 AM »
Hi there,
Seems like FP deforms meshes when I use octane render's proxy system.
Screens attached.
Thanks,
Pavel

Sometimes it works fine. But I can't understand how to reproduce this...

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this issue, Could you please let me know which version of Octane you are using? Also I would recommend resetting the XForm of the tree object, it may help to reset the scale issue. If that doesn't help if you could upload the problematic scene or send it to support@itoosoft that would be very helpful.

Thanks for your assistance,

Paul

Just to add - if you are using a surface I would also reset the XForms on this before creating the new Forest Pack item.

Thanks,

Paul.

Thanks for quick reply.
I'm using octanre render 3.14
Seems like resetting xfroms helps... Or not, I just created new one on other surface and all works fine. Also I created a new one on existing surface with resets xfroms and all works as should...
I understand that it's hard to fix a bug if it can't be reproduced but in my workflow it hapens randomly and not often. As I see now xfrom may be solution for this.
Let me continue to work, may be I ill find a step by step passes to reproduce this.

I'm Maya user so those tricks are mystery for me
Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Pavel
