1. The links won't be available until the final release I'm afraid. The plugin is still under active development so there may be changes yet. Sorry about that. We'll be releasing videos about features throughout the beta period, so expect one for Unity soon! In the meantime, I'll make a quick step-by-step document.
2,3. &4. We're exporting the actual geometry and materials via FBX, so it's support anything that a normal FBX export to Unity supports. The plugin doesn't perform any conversion of materials using our own algorithms. Our plugin takes the assets imported from FBX and clones/instances them to match the location, rotation and scale from 3ds Max.
5 We're actually developing the tool simultaneously for Forest Pack and RailClone, so you can expect that in an update soon too!
