Ivy library error
« on: August 08, 2024, 12:09:51 am »
Sorry if this has been posted already, there seems to be lots of errors posted all a little different to mine.

I recieve these 2 errors when trying to load one of the Ivy from the library

I have updated to the new version and everything is up to date in the manager.

I navigated to matlibs\climbing_plants_scanline.pmat but it was missing, only arnald, corona & vray exist in that folder.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this. The first message is normal and just warns you that the Maps folder will be added to you user paths so the textures can be found automatically. You should click Yes when it pops up.

The second one is because at present our script looks for a scanline library as a fallback in the event that you are not using either V-Ray, Corona, or Arnold. We didn't include this library in the beta, and in fact we've decided to change this for final release so that it falls back to physical materials instead which should provide more options for people converting to other engines or exporting to other apps.

Many thanks,

Paul

Ok thanks, my default render engine is Redshift, when i swap to VRay it works fine.

Ivy doesn't seem to work in the same way as FP where it imports a template from the library, I used to be able to convert materials to redshift. Is there a way to do this with ivy?

Thanks
